UES: So for start, you as one of the biggest names  in dnb scene and probably all electronic music, we need to ask you what do you think of the dnb today, because it has evolved in so many ways and subgenres trough the years?

Goldie: I think drum n bass is in great position right now, you only have to look at Metalheadz for that. The artists are more creative than ever and the hunger from the audience is there which moves the whole thing forward.

UES: Do you think it (dnb) is going in the right direction?

Goldie: I think the underground is moving in the right direction, the overground isnt always to my taste but the landscape has changed and if someone starts with the chart topping stuff and finds their way to something like the Timeless album that’s gotta be a good thing.

UES: As founder of Metalheadz label, can you tell us something about the early years, was it hard at the beginning, did you ever think it will grow to what it is today?

Goldie: We were innovating a certain style and when you are innovating nothing is certain, you just have to be confident and strong minded that your vision will realise.

UES: For the last few years you are performing on Outlook festival. So we need to ask you what do you think of Croatia, people here, did you have time to enjoy or only work?

Goldie: Great festival, great atmosphere and a knowledgeable crowd. As for the country when you tour as a DJ you dont always get to see the country but from ive seen it has some really nice spots.

UES: As we heard, you started doing joga in the last couple of years. How is that working for you, after such a wild lifestyle?

Goldie: Its working perfectly. Its my motivation, my energy for everything i do in my life.

UES: Are you thinking of retiring any time soon or are we seeing lots of more Goldie and new releases

Goldie: Retiring? NO. As for new music…watch this space…

UES: So if we are not mistaken this is your first time playing in Zagreb? Can you tell us where exactly are you playing and what are you preparing for the Croatian audience?

Goldie: I will be doing what i always do, play the music that i love with a passion. If you want to know more, come and see me.

UES: And for the end, do you have any message or advice for the people on the Croatian dnb/jungle scene

Goldie: Keep the faith, keep working hard and master your own scene.

UES: Thank You for your time and we are happy to see you soon in Zagreb!!
